Abrakadoodle Social Class

Welcome to Abrakadoodle Social Class (online series). These are our casual online workshops which are a great way to do some art and have a creative catch up with friends, family or work colleagues in our zoom art room. Set up your space, bring your own drinks, snacks and art supplies, and settle in for a night of art.

These workshops are designed so you will gain a practical understanding of your chosen art form, but they are also relaxed and casual, so you can drink, chat and have a little fun along the way. Art Est Art Nights are suitable for all levels and beginners are very welcome. High school students also welcome to participate.

Workshops are delivered in real time with tuition from our experienced art tutors who will demonstrate and show you step by step techniques. There’s opportunity for students to ask questions along the way and get feedback from your tutor.

What to expect

Students will have an introduction and demonstration into how watercolours behave and practice some blending and mixing techniques through simple exercises.

Working from a reference piece or their own crystals, students will then look closely at crystal structure and colour (it is clear or opaque, raw or polished etc.), and create their own individual watercolour artwork under the guidance of the tutor.

What you will achieve

Students will:

Gain a practical understanding of watercolour techniques
